The beauty and condition of our campus create an impression of the College’s quality. The grounds and facilities of Meredith’s historic campus must support a range of activities and scholarship. They’re also designed to encourage friendship building, collaborative learning, and healthy development among our students.

We're taking significant steps to make our campus as strong as possible. Recent improvements include the addition of StrengthsLab in support of StrongPoints, upgrades to our campus wireless network, the addition of a campus-wide intranet, and new technology to support videoconferencing and distance education.

Through your support for Beyond Strong, the College will have the resources needed to keep our campus facilities and technology going strong.

Facilities & Technology Fact

Facilities and Technology Priorities

Lake Renovation
Meredith Lake is a picturesque place on campus that Meredith students, faculty, staff, alumnae, and visitors can enjoy throughout the year. In late March of 2017, the iconic campus lake drained due to the erosion of pipes and plumbing. The serene body of water at the amphitheater is now empty.  Not only is the beauty lost, but the lake water that was used to irrigate Meredith’s grounds is no longer available. Read more about the lake renovation project.

Athletics Complex
Complete the outdoor athletic complex, including building and maintaining the field and track, grandstands, hospitality areas, restrooms, and locker rooms.

Campus Renovations
Gifts from two generous donors allowed the College to make needed renovations in 2015-16 to Johnson Hall. Other campus renovations are also needed, from upgrading outdated and insufficient technology to replacing boilers, roofs, and telephone networks. Naming opportunities are available for current buildings and spaces.

Fitness Center
Currently a new modern Fitness Center is being built in the Weatherspoon Physical Education Building. A modern fitness center will strengthen our current community, enhance recruitment efforts, and contribute to wellness initiatives.
