Congratulations on your acceptance to Meredith College. Below are the next steps that will ensure your successful transition to the Meredith community. We look forward to welcoming you and helping you finish strong.

Visit Campus

Consider this your invitation to get to know Meredith – in person or virtually. Meet with your admissions and financial assistance counselors. Connect with a faculty member. Take a tour of campus and the residence halls.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance

Meredith’s Office of Financial Assistance coordinates over $50 million annually in merit and need-based awards. Our financial assistance staff is here to help you find ways to make college affordable. All students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for access to Meredith, state, and federal assistance options. Students transferring to Meredith College may be eligible for a variety of transfer scholarships.

Reserve Your Space

Officially reserve your space in the class by submitting your $300 non-refundable Enrollment Deposit.

Deposits for Spring entry should be submitted by December 15.

Deposits for Summer entry should be submitted by April 1.

Deposits for Fall entry should be submitted by June 15.

You can make a secure online payment or mail a check or money order to the Office of Admissions, 3800 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27607-5298. Cash is also accepted.

After submitting your Enrollment Deposit, be sure to review the Enrollment Tab in your Applicant Portal for the complete list of documents that must be submitted before arriving on campus. You can learn more about the required documents and submit many of them through the links provided below. Questions? Email admissions@meredith.edu.

Review the Enrollment Handbook

You’ll find important information about housing, advising and course registration, and campus life in your enrollment handbook, which is mailed at the time of admission. For students beginning in January, you’ll find this information in the 2024 Spring Enrollment Handbook. For students beginning Meredith in May or August, you’ll find this information in the 2024 Fall Enrollment Handbook. Your timely submission of the required documents will ensure a smooth transition to Meredith.

Living on Campus – Submit Your Housing Request

Living on campus is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build strong bonds and lasting friendships within the community. Submit your Housing Request after you’ve officially reserved your space in the class and no later than June 1. Requests made after June 1 are granted on a space-available basis. Housing assignments are mailed in early July to students who have officially reserved their space in the class. All new students under the age of 21 are required to live on campus for their first two years at Meredith unless commuting from the home of parents.

Browse Residence Life webpages, or reach out to reslife@meredith.edu to learn more.

To request to commute while living in the home of parents, submit the Transfer Student Off Campus Housing Request; all requests must be approved by the Dean of Students.

Disability Services – Voluntary Disability Disclosure & Request for Accommodation

Meredith College values the diversity of its community and promotes inclusivity for all students. We are committed to creating an accessible community and providing reasonable accommodations to qualified students while respecting their right to confidentiality and choosing whether or not to disclose a disability and accommodation needs. In a college setting, the student is responsible for initiating the eligibility process and requesting accommodations. New students who wish to submit a voluntary disability disclosure and request an accommodation must access the Meredith College Student Wellness Portal. Should you have questions, please email disabilityservices@meredith.edu.

Complete your Academic Records

Upon completion of the semester, request that your official college transcript be sent to the Office of Admissions. Also, please be sure to submit official AP/IB scores if applicable.

Attend New Student Orientation

After reserving your space for enrollment, mark your calendar for New Student Orientation. This multi-day event takes place prior to the first day of classes and includes important meetings with faculty and student advisors, opportunities to learn about campus resources, and events to help new students engage in the campus community.
