Three Ways to Get to Know Meredith – Virtually!

Graphic that reads Visit Meredith Virtually and includes Meredith Going Strong logo

We know the COVID-19 pandemic has likely caused an interruption in your college search, but at Meredith, we’re here to help! While it may not be possible to schedule an in person visit yet, it’s still important to be moving your college search forward. The best way to do that is by speaking with an admissions counselor directly, as well as connecting with faculty and current students.

So, we’re bringing Meredith to you via three virtual options: Personalized, One-on-One Virtual Information Sessions, Friendly Fridays: Conversations with Current Students, and Live Webinars.

Our virtual events are powered by Zoom and can be scheduled through our online portal. If you’re unable to join by computer or mobile device, options to join by phone are also included in the email confirmation once registered.

Take advantage of these three resources to help you discover if Meredith is the right fit for you:

Personalized, One-on-One Virtual Information Sessions

When: Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or 3 p.m. and Friday at 11 a.m.

Who they’re for: These sessions are encouraged for any student interested in Meredith. You’ll get personal attention from your counselor, allowing you to ask questions about your individual situation according to where you are you’re at in the admissions process. Parents are welcome to attend!

What you’ll do: These sessions are personalized – allowing you to chat with your admissions counselor one-on-one about what you’re looking for in a college. You’ll learn more about your academic major, the Meredith community, and how Meredith will help you reach your goals. You’ll also get to talk about the application process, scholarships, and financial aid.

Friendly Fridays: Conversations with Current Students

When: Fridays, June 26, and July 31

Who they’re for: These sessions are great for any student researching Meredith because they offer the opportunity to speak with current students in a small group setting. During these sessions, you’ll hear from Meredith students themselves about what it’s really like to attend Meredith and how we help students just like you accomplish their goals.

What you’ll do: Friendly Friday Conversations feature small group chats with current Meredith students, an admissions counselor, and other high school students who are researching Meredith. You will cover many different topics over casual conversation, allowing you to get to know the personal nature of Meredith.

Live Webinars with Q & A

When:

Beyond the Classroom: Internships, Research, and Study Abroad (when we can)

Thursday, June 18, 2p.m.

Living Your Best Life: The Meredith Community

Thursday, July 16, 2p.m.

All About Applying for Admission and Financial Aid

Thursday, August 13, 7p.m.

Who they’re for: These sessions provide a low-key way of getting to know Meredith, but they’re still great for any student who is interested in attending. They allow you to sit back, relax, and learn about Meredith from our admissions team and current students. You don’t have to do any of the talking, but you’re still able to ask questions via the chat feature during the live Q and A sessions.

What you’ll do: Learn more about academics, internships, study abroad, undergraduate research, the Meredith community, and admissions and financial assistance from our admissions team.

After registering for these events, you’ll receive an email with the link to join via Zoom. Be sure to contact our admissions team if you have any questions!
