About the Pre-Health Certificate Program

Meredith’s pre-health post-baccalaureate certificate is the only program of its kind in the Triangle. Designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree, the one-year program gives you the flexibility to tailor a curriculum that works best for your needs and goals. Applications are open to individuals with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, including in a non-life-science field. 

Personal attention and small classes are hallmarks of a Meredith education. You’ll receive individualized advising and have the opportunity to build relationships with faculty and staff. In addition, the program provides support in finding shadowing and clinical experiences as well as MCAT study sessions for students interested in medical school.

The coursework you complete during the program can help you apply to medical school, dental school, veterinary school, Ph.D. graduate programs, and more. Students who completed this program have been accepted into distinguished schools, such as Duke University School of Medicine, UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine, UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, and more esteemed colleges across the country.
