Are you a high schooler, prospective transfer, or adult student interested in studying music? Join our marvelous music faculty and students at the Music Major/Minor for a Day (MM4D) event on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026.

Choosing the college and the major that’s right for you can be a difficult decision. MM4D is designed to help you through the decision-making process. You’ll experience a day as a music major/minor, getting an inside look at our music and life at Meredith. You will have the opportunity to

• Connect with our music faculty.
• Chat with current students.
• Learn more about what our music program has to offer.
• Attend sample lessons, classes, and other activities.
• Participate in an ensemble.

About Our Music Program

Through the Meredith music program, students will gain skills, training, and experiences to prepare them to use their musical talents to contribute to the communities in which they live. Our faculty are active artists and leaders: composers and musicians who have performed, directed, taught, and recorded nationally and internationally.

Students have the opportunity to perform in large and small vocal and instrumental ensembles, opera workshops, and keyboard ensembles. In addition, they’ll have access to a vibrant music community, both in the capital city of Raleigh and in the larger Triangle area.
