Everything You Need to Know About Inside Scholarships at Meredith

Applying to college can hold many layers of stress, the most common being financial. Add on the task of applying for financial aid and scholarships and the entire process can quickly become overwhelming.

So, how can you alleviate that stress? A good place to start is with inside scholarships. These are scholarships that are funded by the institution and granted to admitted students only. This means you don’t have to compete with thousands of other students attending different institutions, which can sometimes be the case with outside scholarships.

And at Meredith, many of our inside scholarships don’t require several different applications, making the process even easier for you as a student.

Here are just a few of the inside scholarships at Meredith you may be eligible for:

Meredith Impact Scholarship

The Impact Scholarship was created to ensure that a Meredith College education is accessible to all women with the power to bring about positive change in their lives and in their communities.

How do I apply? Simply apply to Meredith College. No separate application is necessary! If you’re an admitted first-year student, you can receive a minimum $20,000 annual scholarship award if you meet the scholarship criteria. And, the award is renewable for four years as long as you maintain good academic standing.

Who’s eligible? First-year students.

What’s required? Minimum 3.3 unweighted GPA and 1100 SAT/22ACT

The award: Based on your qualifications, you can be awarded up to $23,000. (And even if you don’t qualify for the Impact Scholarship, you can still qualify for other merit-based grants or awards!)

Academic Merit Grants & Scholarships

Merit grants and scholarships are awarded to first-year students based on academic achievement.

How do I apply? Your application for admission is your application for academic merit scholarships. No separate application necessary!

Who’s eligible? First-year students.

What’s required? No specific criteria is required for merit grants and scholarships, but larger awards are given to students with higher academic achievement.

The award: You can receive anywhere from $17,000-20,000 annually. The awards are renewable for up to four years as long as you remain a full-time student and in good standing with the College.

Meredith Legacy Scholarship

This prestigious scholarship is the highest honor available to freshmen entering Meredith College. The full, four-year, merit-based scholarship is awarded based on superior academic achievement, intellectual promise, and leadership ability.

How do I apply? Apply to the Honors Program.

Who’s eligible? First-year students admitted to the Honors Program.

What’s required? Average SAT/ACT 1510/34; weighted GPA of 4.65, demonstrated leadership and service to others, demonstrated curiosity about the world, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The award: Recipients are awarded full tuition, room and board, books, supplies, international study, networking opportunities, and other academic enrichment programs with a total estimated value of $210,000.

Presidential Scholarships

This is a prestigious four-year, merit-based scholarship that is also awarded based on superior academic achievement, intellectual promise, and leadership ability.

How do I apply? Apply to the Honors Program.

Who’s eligible? First-year students admitted to the Honors Program.

What’s required? Average SAT/ACT: 1480/33; Average GPA: 4.3 (weighted)

The award: Recipients are awarded full tuition annually and international study.
