Accounting-Business Administration / Internships
The School of Business offers experiential learning for accounting students through a formal internship program, in which students receive 3 hours of academic credit in exchange for hands-on, professional business experience. Students are matched with companies ranging in size from sole proprietorships to multinationals to state and federal government.
Recent internships completed by accounting students include:
- Progress Energy, Raleigh, N.C.
- Credit Suisse, Research Triangle Park, N.C.
- North Carolina Department of State Treasurer – Unclaimed Property Program
- RBC Bank
- Global Knowledge Training, Cary, N.C.
- KPMG, Saudi Arabia
Students are required to complete 120 hours during their internship. Upon graduation, many of our interns receive offers for full-time employment as a result of these internships.
