Academic Partnerships

Meredith College is a member of Cooperating Raleigh Colleges along with NC State University, Saint Augustine’s University, William Peace University, Shaw University, and Wake Technical Community College. These institutions form a consortium through which they provide their collective educational resources to students at each of the six campuses. Under this agreement, full-time Meredith students may take collegiate-level courses at any of the other campuses in the consortium. These courses are used for general enrichment, to strengthen particular majors, to enhance career training, and, in certain situations, to earn an additional major or degree. Students may also borrow library materials directly from the other institutions.

NC Community Colleges
Meredith College is a signatory school on an articulation agreement with the North Carolina Community College System. This agreement makes it easier for students to complete four-year degrees at Meredith.

Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
Meredith College and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) have an articulation agreement for advanced admission and/or guaranteed interview. This articulation agreement applies to both graduates of Meredith’s undergraduate programs and to those who complete the College’s pre-health post-baccalaureate certificate program. Meredith is the only school with which VCOM has an articulation agreement at both the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate levels.

Central Piedmont Community College
Through the Meredith Strong Futures program, Meredith College provides specialized advising, direct and guaranteed admission, and $10,000 in aid to graduates of Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) who meet the requirements.

Engineering
The Dual Degree Engineering program, which is a partnership with NC State University, allows students to simultaneously complete the academic requirements of each school to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics or chemistry from Meredith and a Bachelor of Science degree from NC State in five years.

Law
Through the Accelerated Law Degree Program, qualified Meredith students can save time and money by completing their senior year of undergraduate study and first year of law school simultaneously. Meredith has accelerated law degree partnerships with both Campbell Law and Elon Law.

Students seeking programs outside of Meredith College faculty-led experiences may apply to affiliate semester or summer study abroad providers. Meredith Affiliate programs must meet academic rigor, safety/risk management, student support, and cultural immersion standards of the Office of International Programs. Academic courses must be approved by relevant Meredith academic departments. In recent years, Meredith students have successfully studied abroad with the following providers:

Meredith’s Office of International Programs has also formed partnerships with Brenau University, Salem College, and St. Mary of-the-Woods College to provide study abroad opportunities to students at those institutions. Students and faculty from Ashland University, Lenoir Rhyne University, and UNC-Charlotte have participated in study abroad opportunities in Sansepolcro, Italy through partnered programs.
