Women's Studies Careers

What Can You DO with a Women’s Studies Education? Why Major In Women's Studies?
Classes in the program provide students with the knowledge to understand how psychological, social and historical forces, organized by the central concept of gender, shape them as individuals. Majoring in Women's Studies gives students a more in-depth understanding of human behavior, society and culture. Students will become familiar with the experiences of women with a different cultural and racial background, economic class and sexual orientation.

Students will be able to use analytical and critical skills gained in their courses of study in activities beyond the college campus, in their professional careers and throughout their lives as women. Students will also explore who they are and examine what it means to be a woman in society with reflection on issues confronting women in the United States and globally.
