Grant Proposal Process

              The Undergraduate Research Program has funds available to support student research efforts across the campus for all disciplines.  Funding may be requested by students for supplies associated with their research project.  Students submit proposals to the Undergraduate Research Committee for consideration of funding.  Examples of possible funding requests are: perishable supplies used in research, copy costs for manuscripts pertinent to the research, small equipment that is specific for the research project.  Proposals must be in the format specified by the 2009/2010 application form available here.  A copy of theoriginal proposal with a signed cover sheet should be sent via campus mail to Undergraduate Research/SMB.  An electronic version of the proposal should be sent to research@meredith.edu. Proposals will be reviewed by the committee twice during each semester.  If funding is approved, a request for reimbursement along with copies of receipts must be submitted to the office of Undergraduate Research.  Reimbursement should be requested within 30 days of notification of funding.  The form for reimbursement is available here.
