Introduction

In Information Literacy 1, you may have used general reference sources such as encyclopedias and dictionaries.
This part of the tutorial introduces search strategies for finding reference sources for more specialized, subject-oriented information. Reference books:

  • provide basic facts and background information
  • guide you to additional sources and information
  • have an "R" in front of the call number
  • can be found on the first floor of the library
  • may not be checked out.
