This
tutorial is divided into four modules, entitled "Selecting,"
"Searching," "Locating" and "Evaluating."
Here are some things you will encounter throughout this tutorial:
1.
You will see screen captures throughout the tutorial (see example
to the right). These images are used to show you what a screen might look
like in a database or catalog, and are not live. Usually
there is a spotlighted area (gray oval) on the image that points you to
an important feature of a record or citation
2. You will
also see hyperlinked glossary terms. If you see a word that is
underlined (hyperlinked), feel free to click on it. A new window will
open with a definition of that term. Simply close the window to return
to the tutorial.
3.
Look at the top of this page. On every page from now on you will
see these navigation buttons. To move from page to page,
simply click these arrows. To link directly to the list of glossary
terms, click GLOSSARY. At any time you may view a sitemap of the
tutorial by clicking SITE MAP; doing so will open a new window.
To return to the page where you select a module, click SELECT A
MODULE.
