A Sri Lanka "Show and Tell" will take place in the lobby of the Cate Center on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The group, which included nine students, traveled to Sri Lanka in July. They will be sharing stories, pictures and souvenirs from their study abroad experience.

While in Sri Lanka, students experienced Sri Lanka's public school system, working with children in grades 1-10 and their teachers. Students worked at Pelena School in Weligama with Sri Lankan children who are learning English, learning the concepts of intercultural communication, teaching ESL, and community building. They spent two nights in Colombo before returning to North Carolina.
