On Monday, Feb. 7, the Meredith School of Business began selling t-shirts in an effort to contribute to the campus-wide "A Tide of Hope" campaign. The t-shirts can be purchased for $11, with $1 from every t-shirt purchased being donated to tsunami victims.
Meredith's immediate relief efforts will support Save the Children, an international, four-star charity founded in 1932.
"The money from the business t-shirts will be donated on behalf of the entire School of Business," said senior Kristen Scott, president of Student Business Advisory Board
T-shirts will continue to be sold until Tuesday, March 15 and can be purchased in the School of Business student lounge in 1st Harris.
The front of the t-shirt reads "Meredith College School of Business 2005" and the back will read "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit. Aristotle." Students can choose between three t-shirt colors: white, gray or navy blue. The font color will be lime green.
Scott added, "I hope people who purchase a business t-shirt will be proud of the School of Business and Meredith College for always coming together in a time of need. I also hope the t-shirts will continue to build camaraderie within the School of Business."
