We are starting our last full week of the program this week, and it’s so hard to believe. I feel like we have been here forever, but at the same time such a short time. We have been able to see so much in a short period of time, and I could not feel more at home in London than I do. The city is amazing and has so much to offer, anything you could ever want to do is here. The theater is fantastic; we have seen two plays for class already, as well as a contemporary play and musical.

This past weekend we took day trips outside of London, which were so much fun. Saturday we went to Brighton, which is a beach about an hour away. It was cold that day, which isn’t the perfect situation, but we still really enjoyed it! We hung out on the beach and ate fish and chips at a little restaurant right on the beach! Then today we went to Oxford, which was a lot of fun. We were able to see the university, as well as do a little shopping! A girl has got to shop! I am having so much fun I can’t believe it is going to come to an end! I am going to miss the friends I have made here, as well as the city. This is definitely somewhere I want to come back to!

We have been here for about two weeks now, and it has been amazing so far! We all love London so much, and are able to see so many new and exciting things. Every day we try and go to a new museum, park, or London attraction, and everyone has been great so far. We are also seeing Shakespeare plays for our class, which have been fantastic! Tomorrow we are going to the Globe for a tour and seeing Henry the 8th which we are all very excited about. Today we were able to visit Parliament and get a tour, which was so fascinating. I would have to say that it is probably my favorite thing we have done in London so far!

We have already had one travel weekend, and six of us went to Paris! We were able to see so many interesting sites, such as Notre Dame, The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, and The Arch de Triumph. While we were there we were able to meet up with some of the girls from the Meredith Fashion Program in Paris, which was great because they were able to show us around a bit. Of course we ate lots of pastries while we were there as well. It was a great weekend away, but of course we were happy to get back to London. It has already started to feel like home, and we miss it just as much as our real homes when we are away.

We have been in London for three full days now, and I absolutely love it! We are staying at Heythrop College right off of Kensington High Street. It is a fabulous area with lots of shops, places to eat, and parks. The first day we were here another girl and I went to explore just walking down the street and stumbled upon Kensington Palace! We find something new every day! We are right around the corner from a tube station as well so it makes it very easy to get around the city. Heythrop College itself is also very pleasant. We all have our own rooms, and share two bathrooms and two showers per hall. We have a cute little garden right outside, and are just a minute from the dining hall and classrooms! The staff is very nice, and always willing to help us with anything. They remember the Meredith girls every year, and seem very excited that we are back!

So far we have done a lot of sightseeing. The first day we were here we went on a big bus, and boat tour as a group. We really enjoyed it, and got to see lots of sights, including Big Ben, The Tower of London, and The London Eye. Since then we have been out exploring on our own and have visited the Tower of London, Trinity Gardens, Wimbledon, and The Imperial War Museum. They were all so interesting, and I can’t wait to see more of London!
