Entry 1: July 11, 2011

Although we have only been in Italy for a little over a week, our group has already experienced so much. We have traveled to Anghiari, Perugia, Assisi and Florence. In Anghiari we toured the Busatti factory and were fortunate enough to speak with the owner of the company. Since the city is at the top of a hill, there are breath taking views for miles and miles. So far my favorite city has been Florence. The city is gorgeous and there is so much to do! I enjoyed walking around and enjoying the views, sitting in the cafés and of course, shopping!

The Child Development group has been able to visit and tour many different schools and observe a variety of age groups. We have had the opportunity to talk to the teachers as well as directors at all of the schools we have visited. I feel like I have already learned so much just in the short amount of time we have spent in Italy and I’m excited to see what the next two weeks will bring!
