Ciao! Even though I have only been in Sansepolcro for 5 days, it has already been one of the best experiences of my life. To have our program called “Eat, Play, Design” is an understatement. Not only is it an amazing experience to be in Italy, but it is ten times more amazing to experience this with 13 other girls and my professors (aka tour guides- they know so much about the region!). So far our experience in Italy has included trips to Anghiari, Perugia, Assisi, and Florence. There have been many highlights so far and hundreds of photos taken, but probably my favorite experience has been touring the Busatti shops. They are a local textiles company, circa 1840s, in the Tuscany region. It was so fascinating to tour and speak with the owners since I have taken courses in textiles and interior design. They make the most gorgeous fabrics! I have bought so much already from their shops- that my bag going home will probably be overweight! Other highlights have been the amazing views we get to see! It seems like every town we visit is different from the other and each has their own beautiful and unique view of Italy.

Being in Sansepolcro is wonderful. Even though we have only been here a few days, I have meet so many great people and eaten so much great food! Pizza and gelato here is nothing short of amazing and every person we meet, we always see around town later and they always greet us with a warm “Ciao!”.
