Entry 1
It is week three here in Costa Rica and it has been a challenging, crazy, fun experience! I can’t believe I got home in just a few days. We started out in the mountains in San Luis where I zip lined for the first time! What a rush! I also was given the opportunity to learn how to cook some traditional Costa Rican food, so yummy! I can’t wait to cook it for my family.
Next was Cabo Blanco, and absolute reserve by the coast. It could not have been more beautiful. We had class and hiked in the morning and snorkeled all afternoon. Our last night we had a bonfire; we just love our together time. For me study abroad is as much about friendships as it is about learning and experiencing a new culture. Next we were off on our own! I went to Manuel Antonio with six other girls for some beach time. It was so fun and we handled traveling on our own very well!
Now we are doing our research here in La Selva. It has been tough but such an accomplishment to have done real research! I can’t believe my time here in Costa Rica is almost over. I have learned so much about biology, this culture and myself in my short time here. It is beyond beautiful and I hope I get the opportunity to come back here someday soon. Loving it! ¡Pura Vida!
