San Luis Biological Station

Today was so freaking awesome. Audrey, one of the naturalists here at San Luis took us on the hike to the waterfall. Even though it took an hour and a half to get to the waterfall it was so worth it. The view of the three tear waterfall was breath taking, I can’t even tell you how many pictures I took, and I learned a new function on my camera called panoramic shot where I was able to take a series of three pictures in order to get the whole water fall in one picture. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!

What made the trip even better was the fact that we were able to wear our bathing suits to the waterfall and jump in, but nobody necessarily jumped in, being that the water was FREEZING cold, I am not even kidding, if I had to guess I would say the water was about 40 degrees, but everyone agreed after the long sweaty hike the water was  very refreshing. Everyone slowly walked in gaining more chill bumps and laughing hysterically the further their bodies submerged into the water, it was so much fun, haha. We all lined up in the water and took a picture with the waterfall in the background, definitely a picture worth a million dollars. I even swam right up close to the waterfall and got Audrey to take my picture with the water kind of falling on my head, very cold but very much a once in a life time experience. I will never forget that day and the excitement I felt when we reached the waterfall and the rush I felt getting into the cold water in my two piece bathing suit, definitely a memorable experience with great people on out trip to Costa Rica.

PURA VIDA!
