This year, 15 students are participating in Meredith’s Business in China program. Faculty members Ying Liao and Rebecca Oatsvall are the program directors.

Meredith business students will have a unique opportunity to experience the history, culture and business environment of China, the world’s second largest and fastest growing major economy. Business in China: Culture and Context is a linked, two-course sequence that includes a 14 day excursion to China.

Students will complete BUS 948: International Business in China and BUS 949:Contemporary Chinese Culture and Commerce.Through a focus on the cultural, social, political, educational and economic environment in China as compared to the U.S., students will gain a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the business landscape.

While they are abroad, students in the Business in China program will be sending frequent reflections in a journal format. These entries will be posted on the website regularly so that the Meredith community can track the travelers' progress. Be sure to check back often to see where they are and what they are doing.
