Seven Meredith students are joining Professor of Music Ellen Williams and Assistant Professor of Foreign Languages and Literatures Véronique Machelidon in Austria. The program begins on June 7 and ends on June 28.

The program, which will be based in Salzburg, Graz and Vienna, Austria, focuses on a course called "Nannerl, Sissi and their sisters: Women in Austrian Arts and Letters."

Students will have unique opportunities including visiting the town of Mozart's birth, enjoying an opera performed by string puppets, watching the dazzling Lipizzaner horses in training, or strolling along the shores of lake Wolfgang, the setting of The Sound of Music.

While they are abroad, students will send reflections in a journal format. These entries will be posted on the website regularly so that the Meredith community can track the travelers' progress. Be sure to check back often to see where they are and what they are doing.
