Campus Software

Meredith College uses site and individual licensing to manage distribution of software for its faculty, staff, and students. Meredith College is a member of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU).
Full time students who participate in the Meredith Laptop Program will have certain software loaded on their laptops. Faculty and staff also have default software loaded on their laptops or computers. Select Student/Faculty/Staff Default Software to view software that is pre-loaded.
Meredith College utilizes a network of open/common computer labs, as well as specific department/curriculum labs. Select Common Labs to link to the page that lists locations, descriptions and software loaded on all common/shared computer labs. Select Curriculum Labs for a listing of software loaded on department/curriculum labs.
Listed below are the primary software packages that are used on the campus of Meredith College. Also listed below are links and instructions on how Meredith students, staff, and facutly can purchase software at reduced prices.
 
Software Options at Meredith College
Microsoft logo Meredith College Microsoft license allows the college to install the operating system, Microsoft Office Enterprise, Expression Web, and the Digital Image Suite on all computers that are owned by the college. Special pricing is available to all students, faculty, and staff, for certain Microsoft products. See Below.
Link to Adobe Site offers a wide variety of products that are used through out the campus. Through the relationship with NCICU, Adobe products that need to be installed on Meredith owned equipment, are available for purchase at very reduced prices. These are not site licenses. All Meredith Common Labs and the MAC labs do have the Design Premimun suite installed. Special pricing is available to all students, faculty, and staff, for certain Adobe products. See Below.
Link to SPSS siteMeredith College has a site license for SPSS a leading worldwide provider of predictive analytics software and solutions. All Meredith laptops have the software installed. Students without Meredith laptops can also have the software installed when needed.
Atomic Learning LinkMeredith College has a site license that allows faculty, staff, students, and family access to the Atomic Learning Web Site. This site provides easy automated tutorials for all levels of PC and Mac software. Contact the help desk for id and password.
Link to WYNN Site Meredith College has a site license for Freedom Scientific's WYNN Literacy Software that allows the college to install the software on all computers owned by the college. Meredith studnets enrolled in a graduate program and all graduated students have the the ability to purchase the product (see below) at discounted prices.
 
Purchasing Software Options for Meredith Students/Faculty/Staff
With our membership to the NCICU Meredith college is able to provide both Faculty/Staff and students with a way to purchase certain Microsoft and Adobe products at discounted prices. You must be a current student or employed faculty/staff member to participate in the program. You will also need to have a current Meredith email address.

Because of Meredith College's membership with the NCICU, students, faculty, and staff can purchase Microsoft and Adobe products at reduced prices. You must have a valid Meredith email account. First, visit ScholarBuy's portal, select NC from the map, then Meredith College. View what there is to purchase. When and if you are ready to purchase, down load the Instructions.
WYNN Site
Freedom Scientific offers Meredith Students, with a current Meredith email address, the ability to purchase a personal copy of WYNN. This $1000 value will cost the student $325. To start the process email: LAtton@freedomscientific.com
