How To Login and Enroll in a Blackboard Course

1. Access the Blackboard login screen at http://www.courses.meredith.edu/ and then click on Login on the left side of the screen.


2. Enter your login ID (which is equal to your Meredith email ID before the@ symbol) and Password when prompted. If you do not have a Meredith email account, please come by Technology Services and sign-up for one.

3. You will be taken to your “Home Page”. Your home page is unique to you in that it will compile a list of all courses that you enroll in, and will display tasks, calendar items, and announcements daily for your courses.

4. On the left side of the screen will be navigation buttons for different options. To change your personal information, select “Personal Information” and then “Edit Personal Information”. To change your password, select “Personal Information” and then “Change Password”. Enter new password twice and select submit.

5. To enroll in a course, select the tab at the top of the window named “Courses”.

6. Select the category of the course that you wish to enroll in under the “Course Catalog” list.

7. To view available courses under a category, click on the category name.

8. There will be an "Enroll" button on the right side of the screen next to the available courses; select the course that you wish to enroll, and click on "Enroll".

9. Make sure that this is the correct course, once you click enroll, there is no unenrolling in the course.

10. After enrolling in the course, click OK on the right side. This will take you into the course.

11. Click the Courses tab at the top if the page to return to the main course screen.

12. To enroll in additional courses, repeat the previous steps to select and enroll in all appropriate courses. The course(s) that you are enrolled in will appear in your “Course List” column in the middle of the page.

This installation of Blackboard Learning SystemTM(Release 6) requires the acceptance of a cookie by your browser software. The cookie is used to ensure that you and only you are able to access information in the courses, assessments, gradebooks and other features which are appropriate for you.

This cookie is NOT stored permanently on your computer, and will be removed when you close your browser. It does not contain any information that could identify you to any third party system or any other Blackboard installation.
