The NC Sierra Club, NC Interfaith Power & Light, and Meredith College are celebrating Earth Week 2012 with a public forum on offshore wind development in NC. Panelists include: Dr. John Bane, Professor of Marine Sciences at UNC-Chapel Hill; Marcilynn Burke, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Department of the Interior; Art Howard, Award-winning photographer and videographer of “Earth: The Operator’s Manual”; Brian O’Hara, President of the North Carolina Offshore Wind Coalition; Rep. Deborah Ross, NC House of Representatives District 38; and Jon Williams, Assistant Secretary for Energy, NC Department of Commerce.
Meredith students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend the forum, ask questions, and meet with the panelists in the reception to follow the forum in the SMB Atrium.
