Looking for inspiration and information to make your home and yard more productive and sustainable? In this class, learn from nature and local residents how to design and plant edible native landscapes; reduce energy consumption by using alternatives; capture and reuse rainwater; raise chickens and bees; compost; and select non-toxic, healthy materials for your home. Learn Permaculture and Natural Step principles you can apply to your own projects. Class includes interesting field trips to see these principles in practice in local yards, homes, and businesses. Classes are based at the Durham Tech Orange County campus and field trips are held at different locations in Durham and Orange counties. 20 hours. $69
