Sustainability at Meredith College
vegetables and flowers shares available weekly
Beausol Gardens again offers community supported agriculture (CSA) produce share deliveries directly to campus this spring and summer and is currently accepting new customers. Fresh vegetable CSA shares, in two different sizes, and flower bouquets are delivered weekly to campus, available to employees and students.
Providing access to locally produced food is part of our Greenprint Goal 2. Meredith students, staff and faculty have purchased 109 produce shares since 2009, delivered weekly during the summer, fall, and winter seasons. In addition, several Meredith students have interned at Beausol Gardens in recent years.
The 2011 main season features two sizes of vegetable shares - a full share for $630 and a half share for $315. The flower share, which is weekly bouquet of seasonal flowers is $180. The CSA season begins the first of May and runs to the end of September. Read more detail about our main season CSA at http://beausol.com/csa_share.html and refer to the sign up agreement for more information, http://beausol.com/csa_signup.html. Meredith deliveries will be on Tuesday afternoons, likely in the Chapel.
