Sign-Up Now - Earth Day & National Volunteer Week!

National Volunteer Week & Earth Day are almost here! Do your part and register for any (or all) of the following events:

*Sunday, April 18 (7 am - 1 pm, various 2-hour shifts): Assist the annual community service project "Feed the Need" at participating Harris Teeter and Bojangles locations to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

*Tuesday, April 20 (1 - 4 pm): Participate in a yard beautification project at Haven House Services (832 Wake Forest Road), a non-profit agency that has been serving youth and families since 1973.

*Friday, April 23 (9:30 am - 3 pm, various shifts): Lend a helping hand in fixing up the Women's Meditation Path at The Healing Place (3304 Glen Royal Road), a rehabilitation and recovery facility for homeless community members struggling with alcohol and drug dependency.

*Saturday, April 24 (11:15 am - 12:45 pm): NOW CLOSED.

To register for any of these events, please email volunteerservices@meredith.edu by Friday, April 16th with your name and phone number, in the event that the event is canceled. Please note that transportation is not provided, but carpooling can be arranged.

These events are offered in partnership through the Office of Student Leadership and Service, Sustainability & the Community Services Department of the City of Raleigh.
