Sixth Week RecycleMania Prize Winners

Congratulations to Robert Luckadoo in Weatherspoon for his participation in campus recycling. Robert won compact florescent bulbs (CFLs) on Friday, March 27, 2009.

Thank you to student volunteers Jessica Prescott and Zandra Blankenship for their help with Friday’s recycling and waste assessment. Volunteers polled 8 faculty and staff in Weatherspoon and the Weatherspoon Annex that were present and willing to participate. Seven demonstrated correct recycling and were entered into the drawing for the prizes. Friday, April 3 will be the last of these assessments on campus. Recyclemania is a national competition. In Spring 2009, Meredith is competing against Peace College to see who can recycle the most per person on campus. In February, Meredith topped our own recycling charts with the highest rate of paper and aluminum recycling all year! Congratulations Meredith College.
