Fourth Week RecycleMania Prize Winners

Congratulations to Brittany Phelps in Poteat for her participation in campus recycling. Brittany won a grocery tote from Whole Food�s �A Better Bag� series on Friday, March 13, 2009. Thank you to student volunteer Meredith Hurley for her help with Friday�s recycling and waste assessment. Volunteers polled 8 students in Poteat that were present and willing to participate. All 8 demonstrated correct recycling and were entered into the drawing for the prizes. Similar assessments will continue on campus. Recyclemania is a national competition. In Spring 2009, Meredith is competing against Peace College to see who can recycle the most per person on campus. See the chart in the Cate Center lobby for latest results. In February, Meredith topped our own recycling charts with the highest rate of paper and aluminum recycling all year!
