Achievement Beyond the Classroom Showcase

Look out for sustainability related student projects like The Daisy Trade (our student run campus re-use store) and the Angels for Environment (A4E) Plant Sale.

A4E Plant Sale

12:30 – 2:00

OUTSIDE OF LIBRARY

Angels for the Environment will hold their annual Plant Sale during Celebrating Student Achievement. Plants are potted by A4E members, sold at minimal cost ($1-$7) and proceeds help A4E fund future programming. You can find the Plant Sale OUTSIDE OF THE LIBRARY from 12:30 – 2:00.

**If you would like to help pot the plants before the sale (and learn a little bit about gardening and the Meredith Greenhouse), then please contact Alyssa Zsido at zsidoaly@email.meredith.edu. A potting time is already planned for Friday 4/13 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Greenhouse (behind SMB).

A forum on offshore wind in North Carolina

Join the Sierra Club, NC Interfaith Power & Light and Meredith College in learning about the challenges and opportunities of wind power. Event is Free and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Reception to follow.

Discover the Meredith Forest on a guided tour led by Dr. Lindquist. The Meredith Forest is a Meredith treasure you do not want to miss out on!

Lights Off, Party On

All day Residence Hall Energy Competition

12:00 am – 11:59 pm

We are challenging all residence halls to save as much electricity as possible on April 20th. The winning hall enjoys a Krispy Kreme party to celebrate their success!

Turn off your lights, unplug all of your electronics and head to SMB Courtyard to party with A4E!

A4E Annual Tie-Dye

4:00 – 6:00

SMB Courtyard (outside in the center of SMB)

Bring light colored clothes or materials to dye. Tie-dying supplies will be provided.

RAIN PLANS - In the event of rain or inclement weather, this event will be cancelled. Signs will be posted on the doors of SMB Atrium and a notice will be posted on the Meredith College Sustainability Facebook page.

Party On

Wall-E, Stargazing, Pizza & Prizes

8:00 – 10:00

SMB Courtyard (outside in the center of SMB)

Come party with A4E. Watch Wall-E outside (bring a blanket/chair to sit on if you’d like). Stargaze on SMB rooftop. Eat Lilly’s pizza. And win awesome PRIZES (an iPod Touch and Holly Aiken gift card will be given away). This event is FREE and BOYS are welcome!
