Payment or notification of approved financial aid for all classes is due to the accounting office according to the due date indicated on the chart above. If you receive financial aid and decide to adjust your class load or decide not to attend summer school at all, in addition to completing a drop/add form, you must notify the Financial Assistance Office.
REGISTRATION METHODS
Students who wish to take summer courses at Meredith may register in four different ways:
Current Students
1. WebAdvisor - Currently enrolled Meredith College degree seeking students may register using WebAdvisor and are not required to complete an application. WebAdvisor registration opens at 8:30 am on January 17, 2012. You must have your login and password, and you must have met with your academic advisor. Your advisor must authorize you to register by validating your advising check box for one of the summer terms.

Visiting Students
2. Mail- Please mail your completed non-degree application to:

If the application is received before the final date to register without a tuition receipt, as listed in the chart above, no payment needs to be included. You will be billed by Meredith College. If your application is mailed after that date, please be prepared to pay tuition immediately to the Accounting Office. If the class is open and available, then we will mail you a copy of your summer schedule.
3. FAX- fax the completed application to:

The faxed application should be received by the final date to register without a tuition receipt, please refer to the chart above. Meredith will bill you for the course(s) and a copy of your schedule will be mailed to you.
4. Walk-In- Bring your completed application to the Office of Admissions, 205 Johnson Hall starting on January 17. The office is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. If you wish to register for a class after the final date to register without a tuition receipt, you must show proof of tuition payment before registering. Tuition must be paid in the Accounting Office, 123 Johnson Hall.
The student should be prepared to make the tuition payment as well as submit the completed application to the Office of Admissions immediately.

Residence hall and Room and Board-6 week session - $1,160
Private room per six week session is an additional - $290

TUITION IS DUE IN FULL ON THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE CLASSES START
Special Fees in addition to tuition are required for some courses. These fees are noted in the course listing.

OTHER INFORMATION
A normal load during a three-week term is one 3 hour or 4 hour course. A physical education activity course may be added to this load. All Meredith students should review summer school plans with their faculty advisors. Advisors must authorize students to register by validating their advising check box for one of the summer terms.
Under-enrolled courses may be cancelled on the first day of the session. Should cancellation occur, we will assist students in selecting other courses.

Days of the week are coded in the course schedule as follows:
M=Monday T=Tuesday W=Wednesday H=Thursday F=Friday
Adding, Dropping and Withdrawing from a Course
Please refer to the chart above for the add/drop and withdrawal dates for each session. Please note: adds, drops, and withdrawals are effective in terms of fees and grading on the date they are received in the Office of the Registrar, not the date they are signed. It is the student’s responsibility to return the forms to the Office of the Registrar.
Special Studies and Research
Special group or individual study and research, on or off campus, proposed either by the professors or students and approved by department heads in whose area the course belongs, may be offered in all departments. A student may pursue this option on multiple occasions. Credits: 1-4 hours. Available in all departments by special arrangements with individual professors in the following categories:
299/499 - RESEARCH
498 - HONORS THESIS
910 - INDEPENDENT STUDY
920 - DIRECTED INDIVIDUAL STUDY
930 - COMMUNITY INTERNSHIP
940-949 - GROUP STUDY
Students who will be doing a special study or research during the summer must pay their tuition prior to being registered. The tuition receipt must accompany the student’s completed Special Studies or Research form when it is submitted to the Office of the Registrar. The Special Studies or Research form must be turned in by the last day to add a course for the term in which the course begins.
CamCards and Parking Decals
New students should obtain a CamCard in the security office. There is no charge for the first ID card. CamCards are necessary to use the library. In addition, money can be put on the card to use in copy machines, the Beehive, and in Belk Dining Hall.
New students with cars attending summer school must have parking decals. Decals are available in the security office and are $20.00* per session and $40.00* for both sessions.

Office Hours
The Office of the Registrar summer hour dates are pending but typically are:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon.
