Summer Reading Overview

Now in its ninth year, Meredith's Summer Reading Program brings together students, faculty, staff and alumnae in a common reading experience. The program illustrates how understanding and involvement work together to create a community at Meredith.

The Summer Reading Book selection relates to the College's campus-wide theme each year. For 2007-08, Meredith will focus on "Ethical Leadership," beginning with the Summer Reading selection, "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down," by Anne Fadiman. The book explores medical ethics in the case of an epileptic Hmong child and her family living in California.
