Greetings and welcome to the web site for Meredith College's
Division of
College Programs. The areas of College Programs include
Academic Advising, Admissions, Athletics, Career Center, Commuter Life and Diversity Programs, Counseling
Center, Dean of Students, Enrollment Management,
Financial Assistance, First Year Experience, Health Center, Office of the Chaplain, Office of the Registrar, Residence
Life, Student Activities and Leadership Development, 23+ Undergraduate Degree Program, and Volunteer
Services.
Dr. Jackson is an alumna of Meredith. She holds an A.M. and PhD. degree in
English from the University of Illinois -Urbana-Champaign. As a member
of the Meredith faculty since 1983, and she speaks frequently on leadership
at campus and professional meetings; she teaches British Romantic poetry
and American literature; she serves as a member of the Senior Management
Team, the Vision 2010 Committee, the Campus Technology Committee, the
Committee on Institutional Effectiveness; she advises the Honor Council
Review Board and Silver Shield (honorary leadership society); and she chairs
the Lillian Parker Wallace Lecture Fund. Dr. Jackson is a member of NASPA,
ACPA, AAHE, ASJA, SCUP, SACSA, and NCCPA. She has received the Laura
Harrill Presidential Award, Pauline Davis Perry FAME Award for Excellence
in Teaching, Meredith Alumna Award, and attained membership in the Academy of Women
(Triangle Area YWCA) for her contributions to Education. Dr. Jackson also
directs a faculty performance of Alice in Wonderland every four years.
