What is Splash? Splash is a one-time service experience that will give you the opportunity to meet new students, have fun, and make a difference in the world. What’s not to love?! On Saturday, August 23, 2008 more than 100 Meredith students will join college students from across the state of North Carolina, including students from NC State, UNC, Duke, ECU and other local colleges, to pack over ONE MILLION meals to be distributed to hungry people around the world through the hunger relief organization, Stop Hunger Now!

The fun doesn’t end there. Meredith is hosting "Lunch on the Lawn," from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in front of the Belk Dining Hall. Stop over for great food, live music, bouncing beach balls, and another great opportunity to help alleviate hunger through our canned food raffle. Bring canned and non-perishable food to lunch and be entered to win prizes. All donations will go to the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina.

Where: Talley Student Center at NC State University and Meredith College

Who: We are hoping to send at least 100 Meredith College volunteers to NC State for this event!

Why: To have a fun time while alleviating hunger!
