Saturday August 18, 2012 -- SPLASH will have three different service opportunities this year!!

Splash is a fun-filled day of service experiences. There will be three service opportunities (one on campus, one with Marbles Kids Museum, and one with Communities in Schools). Spend the day with us getting to know other students and serving your local community. See below for more details.

** We need more people to sign up for the On Campus projects**

Meredith On Campus Service (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. AND 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

We will be working in groups on campus to beautify certain areas. Projects will include repairing paver stones in the amphitheater and cleaning up bike racks near the residence halls and many more.

Marbles Kids Museum (8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. AND 12:30 p.m. -  5 p.m.)  - BOTH OF THESE SHIFTS ARE FULL Details about the Event

We will be staffing various stations at their Kickoff to Kindergarten. This is a community event that celebrates and eases the transition to kindergarten for children and families.  Through play-based activities, children and families become familiar with the routines, materials, language,  and expectations of kindergarten.  Community partners provide families with information and resources and answer questions. (transportation will be provided)

Communities in Schools (8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) THIS SHIFT IS FULL

A small group of volunteers are needed at the SAS Communities in Schools site to pick up donated supplies and stuck backpacks for the children at this Communiities in Schools site (transportation will be provided).
