MeredithREADS

Founded in 2000, MeredithREADS is a literacy partnership between Meredith, Motheread, and Wake County Public Schools System.

Through the MeredithREADS program, Meredith students, faculty and staff volunteer to read aloud at childcare centers or in elementary schools.

MeredithREADS Online Registration

Volunteers complete a 2-4 hour Motheread training session and work on-site at the schools for 1-2 hours each week per semester. MeredithREADS participants work on-site at one of several local public schools.

Transportation & Scheduling
Transportation is not provided, but carpooling with other Meredith community members is an option. MeredithREADS participants must have a two-hour block of time available between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weekdays.
