Minutes of May 13, 1999 Meeting

The Enrollment Management Team held its final meeting of the spring semester on May 13, 1999, at 3:30 p.m. Present for the meeting were Sandra Close, Rebecca Duncan, Gordon Folger, Mary Johnson, Sue Kearney, Carol Kercheval, Jeannie Morelock, Allen Page, Philip Roof, and LaRose Spooner, Chair.

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. The members then moved into the main business of the day, which was to complete their discussion of the recommendations contained in the Enrollment Planning Report and Recommendations. Sue led the group in its deliberations and ended the discussion by requesting each person on the Team to review again what was suggested that could possibly be implemented to help achieve the enrollment goals (admission and retention) set for Fall 1999 and for what should be included in new recruitment plans and retention strategies for 2000 and beyond.

Carol distributed a new Guide To Transfer Admission that has recently been published. This brochure is designed to serve prospective students for both traditional admission and the 23+ Program.

LaRose reminded the Team that she would like to receive the end-of-year reports on EMT activities by June 14th. She thanked the Team members for their hard work, dedication, and contributions throughout the year. The meeting was adjourned.
