Campus Dining
If you're a resident student, you must use CamCard to access the full service meal plan in the Meredith Belk Dining Hall. If you're a commuter, you can use CamCard for discounted meal plans in Belk. All students can use the Secure Spending feature of CamCard for snacks or light meals in the Cate Center snack bar.

Books and the Supply Store
Use your CamCard to purchase textbooks, supplies, gifts, Meredith clothing and more. Each transaction takes just seconds. You'll appreciate the freedom and speed of cash-free, check-free shopping. The Supply Store estimates $300 to $400 per semester for books.

Laundry
Use your CamCard when you need to do your laundry. With CamCard you'll always have correct change.

Photocopies
Your CamCard will operate any of the convenient photocopiers located around campus. Now, this one card is all you need for discount copies.

CamTel Charges
Resident students can pay monthly campus telephone bills with their CamCard. It's easy and convenient.

Library
Your CamCard is all you need to check out materials from Carlyle Campbell library. Once your card is scanned, you're ready to go.

Post Office
Buy stamps and mail packages with CamCard.

Other Charges
You may transfer up to $300 dollars per semester to your student account to pay for any miscellaneous charges on your account such as library fines, parking tickets, course fees, etc.

Getting Started is Easy!
All students are required to have a CamCard ID, even if you choose not to open a Secure Spending account. Remember, your CamCard serves as your Meredith ID and gives you access to your residence hall, the computer labs, and the dining hall. There is no charge for the first card, and replacement cards are $5.00 each.

Open or add to your Secure Spending immediately by contacting the Accounting Office (x8363) with your check or credit card information. You may deposit any amount in your Secure Spending account, depending on your anticipated needs for books, supplies, etc. Add to your card as often as you like by bringing your deposit to the Accounting Office. Remember, your Secure Spending Account is for purchases only. Cash withdrawals are not allowed.

New Students
Follow the schedule in your orientation packet for times to have your CamCard picture ID made. The office in the Security Building.

Using Your CamCard
When you use your CamCard, the amount of your purchases is deducted from your account via the magnetic strip on the back of the card. You'll be advised of your account balance after every purchase. And you can request a printout of your account.

Your account balance will be retained while you're at Meredith. When you graduate (or if you withdraw), your CamCard balance (over $5.00) is transferred to your student account. Any credit will be refunded. Cash withdrawals are not allowed.

Remember, if you plan to use your CamCard to purchase books at the beginning of the semester, be sure to send your check or money order payable to Meredith College to the Accounting office at least a week prior to your arrival on campus.
