Residence Directors (RDs) are full-time staff members who live in an apartment in each of the residence halls. RDs supervise the Resident Assistants, act as a resource for residents, respond to crisis situations, and assist residents through an on-call system.
Resident Assistants (RAs) are Meredith students who are selected through an application process. RAs are compensated to serve as resources to their residents, provide community building opportunities, and encourage residents to get involved in campus activities.
The Director of Residence Life oversees the day-to-day operation of all of the residence halls. Meredith’s residence halls are staffed with personnel who are available to assist residents with questions or concerns ranging from campus information to counseling about a roommate concern to personal concerns about relationships, academics or social activities.
