Meredith College Staff Members Receive Awards

Pearce, Cheryl Jenkins and Sam Carothers recently received
awards for exemplary service to Meredith College.
Pearce and Jenkins received Meredith Staff Recognition Awards.
The awards are presented annually to two staff members who,
through their job performance, have demonstrated initiative,
teamwork, extra effort and outstanding customer service
to the Meredith community.
Pearce, director of health services, joined the Meredith
staff in 1980. Jenkins, who serves as director of student
activities and leadership development, joined Merediths
staff in 1991.
All Meredith College administrative and support staff who
have been employed by the college for a minimum of one year
are eligible to be nominated for the Staff Recognition Award.
The Staff Affairs Committee selects the award recipients
from the nominations received from students, faculty and
staff.
Sam Carothers received the Presidential Staff Award, which
is given in recognition of exemplary service to the Meredith
community. Carothers has served as campus minister since
1982. The Meredith College president chooses the Presidential
Staff Award recipient.
