Darlene JohnsonDarlene Johnson's work with Meredith College began in 1999 as a Field Instructor. Since then she has enjoyed mentoring many students as a School Social Worker.  She is currently a part-time Adjunct Faculty Member for the social work program and employed with Wake County Public School System as Lead School Social Worker.  She is enjoying her time in the classroom teaching aspiring social workers not only theory but also the practical applications of practice.

She began her work as a social worker in 1982.  She has had the opportunity to work within several different systems: mental health, in-patient psychiatry, hospital, outpatient health clinics, and the public school system.  She is grateful for the opportunity to share her  professional experiences and assist students with the paradigm shift of theory to practice.
