Cynthia Bishop, director of the social work program, has practiced as a clinical social worker in both inpatient
and outpatient mental health settings. While teaching at Meredith, she has served as a consultant in mental health, developmental disabilities and family centered practice programs. Bishop is also active on the national level in the Council on Social Work Education, chairing social work accreditation site visits and serving on national social work boards and committees.

Suzanne Rabon, director of field education, has been engaged in the practice of social work for over 25 years, specializing in individual, family and group therapies. In addition to teaching at Meredith College, Rabon has also served as adjunct faculty for the NCSU social work program and was a faculty field liaison for social work child welfare scholars. She was instrumental in the push to obtain certification and licensure for social workers in North Carolina through her membership in the NC Clinical Social Work Society. Rabon also served as the Director of Social Work for Holly Hill Hospital for ten years and provided clinical supervision for numerous social work agencies in the community. Her interests include adolescent mental health, learning disabilities, and utilizing Web 2.0 tools for delivery of social work clinical services.

Wanda Reives, is an adjunct professor hailing from University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill where she is
Assistant Clinical Instructor and Coordinator of the Child Welfare Education Collaborative. She is also a member of the Social Work Advisory Board here at Meredith College.
