Running in High Heels Event
On Monday, March 31, 2008 the Department of Sociology and Social Work cosponsored an event with the Women's Studies Program and Department of History and Politics the focused on women in political office. The program consisted of a showing of the independent film, Running in High Heels, followed by a discussion with NC State Senator Ellie Kinnaird and NC State Representative Deborah Ross. Both women talked about their own paths into politics and encouraged students who were present to get involved in local political campaigns in the area.
