Senate is the legislative branch of the Student Government Association at Meredith College. The purpose of Senate is to oversee all clubs’ constitutions, vote on new clubs, and to vote on any student policy changes.

Senate is made up of three representatives from each class, two representatives from AMC, two representatives from WINGS, a faculty representative, a Secretary, a Constitution Clerk, a staff/faculty advisor, and the Chair who also serves as SGA Vice President of the SGA Executive Committee.

There are over 97 clubs and organizations at Meredith. Each organization must bring their constitution before Senate every three years for renewal.
