Marshall B. Pitts Jr. Marshall B. Pitts Jr. earned his bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice and a minor in political science from Appalachian State University in 1987. A former high school track and field All-American, he excelled in athletics and academics while at Appalachian State, earning the distinction of All-Conference and All-Academic Student Athlete. He then went on to earn his juris doctorate from North Carolina Central University in 1990. For more information click here.
