Dear Meredith family and friends,

This web site has been designed to inform and update you about the process for seeking reaffirmation of accreditation by the Commission on Colleges (COC) of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Meredith is preparing for reviews by evaluators that will take place in 2009-2010. Many people across the campus are actively involved in this effort to demonstrate how well Meredith fulfills its mission and pursues quality enhancement. Your participation in and contributions to this process are very important to us.

The SACS COC requirements and standards as well as the process for seeking reaffirmation of accreditation have changed since Meredith’s last SACS review. The requirement of a Quality Enhancement Plan focusing on student learning outcomes is one of the major revisions. The review process, involving both off-site and on-site committees, is also quite different. We hope the information on this site will be helpful to you.
