Since it sometimes takes a few days to get information on the website, you should also check the field placement bulletin board located outside room 108 Ledford. - The Student Conservation Association (SCA) offers Internship/Corp positions located at national parks, forests and historic sites. These are expense paid internships from 12 weeks to 12 months, located in all 50 states. Along with science and environmental studies majors, service types include historical and environmental interpretation, anthropology, public relations, photography, museum work and over 45 other disciplines. - Summer Missions Associate to Children. First Baptist Church of Graham, NC is seeking a summer missions associate. This is a 10-week summer position. Salary ($180.00 per week) and housing are provided. For additional information, see the internship bulletin board on first floor Ledford, contact Sam Carothers (carotherss@meredith.edu or 760-8346). - Tutor at-risk teenagers in high school courses weekday afternoons. Tutoring will take place at the Jones H. Garland building in downtown Raleigh. The teenagers are in a court ordered drug treatment program and receive incentives for good grades. The teenagers are not violent offenders and they really need help to catch up on their school work.

- Interested in working one-on-one with a child with developmental disabilities? Contact Dr. Edwards for more information. (Many of these positions are paid)
- Volunteer experiences are great resume-builders! Employers value civic involvement, even if it does not relate directly to your major or your career goals. Many volunteer opportunities qualify for field placement credit. Others may not qualify for credit, but are personally fulfilling. Both look good on your resume!
