Course Evaluation

Meredith College uses CoursEval, a web based online software package, for course evaluations. The course evaluation process and student feedback is critical to the success of Meredith College.

  • Evaluations are anonymous. The system can determine if a student fills out an evaluation but does not link back to the student's ID. Electronic course surveys also prevent handwriting recognition.
  • Evaluation results are not released until final grades have been submitted for the semester. Professors, Deans, Academic Vice-Presidents, department heads, and the College President can see summary reports and comments.
  • Course evaluations take place during fall and spring semesters, and can be completed both on and off campus.  Only one evaluation per course is permitted.  Courses that end mid-semester or earlier are evaluated before the end of the term. Classes with 4 or more students are eligible to participate in the course evaluation process.

Student Notification

  • A Course Evaluation survey announcement will be emailed to students containing login name and password when there is a survey to complete.
  • Failure to respond to the survey, prior to the deadline, will disqualify the student from participating in the process.
  • Students who have not received email notification should visit the CourseEval site - select Problem loggin in, and check for active surveys. If the survey does not appear in the students list and there are 4 or more students in the class, contact Karen Brenneman (brennemank@meredith.edu).

Accessing CoursEval

  • Students can access the login screen from the survey notification email or manually using: http://evals.meredith.edu.
  • Students will use the login and password information that was emailed to them in the Course Evaluation survey announcement.
