Nutshell Notes
• Shred and recycle old campus directories: Meredith’s 2009-10 campus directories have now been published. In order to protect student information, faculty and staff are asked to shred and recycle the previous year’s directory. Old copies can be placed in shred bins on campus, where they will be collected for shredding and recycling. Contact the HR office at ext. 8898 with questions.
• Sustainability Coordinator Laura Fieselman made presentations during the Greening the Campus VIII conference. Fieselman presented “Integrating the First Year Experience: Sustainability Education Meets Service Learning” and “Using the Community Visioning Model for Sustainability Planning.” She was the co-leader of a workshop on “Promoting a Culture of Shared Responsibility: Empowering Others to Take the Lead,” which was presented with sustainability directors at Duke, NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill. The conference was held September 20-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
