Tips for Grant Writing

Since funds are tight right now, external sources are an option to consider for additional funds. Here are some tips on composing proposals for external grants.

You will need to write a proposal for the funds. The Sponsored Programs web site, www.meredith.edu/facgrants, has tools that you can use to prepare your proposal.

Look at the sample proposals and abstracts for ideas. Look at more than one guide on the Internet. Some are directed to scientific research grants and others are directed to service grants.
