Ebony Williams, residence director, participated
in a mock interview program, which focused on preparing potential
student affairs professionals. Heidi LeCount, director of
residence life, participated as an interviewer. The program
was held at NCSU.
Heidi LeCount has been chosen to serve as chair
of the Membership Services Committee for the Southeast Association
of Housing Officers (SEAHO) Governing Council. The SEAHO region
includes 10 states and the annual conference draws over 500
housing professionals. At the SEAHO conference in February,
LeCount received a SEAHO service award.
The Raleigh Fine Arts Society Artists Exhibition
will be on display in the Frankie G. Weems Gallery through
April 7. This juried exhibition features work from some 70
artists from Asheville to the coast. Watercolors, acrylics,
oils, photographs, ceramics, wood, mixed media, digital imaging
and textiles are represented. Gallery hours are Monday
Friday, 9 a.m.5 p.m. and SaturdaySunday, 2 p.m.5
p.m.
Janice Swab, professor of biology, presented
A World in One Country: Travels in Bolivia during
a special Conversations with Colleagues on March 1. Her talk
focused on the people, the landscape, and the biological diversity
she encountered during her recent sabbatical in Bolivia.
Nominations for the Meredith College Staff Recognition
Awards are due March 15. Nomination forms are available in
the human resources office, the business office, the Office
of the President, and Cate/Park Center. The awards will be
presented as part of a faculty and staff recognition dinner
on April 19. For more information about Merediths Staff
